Before The Alchemist ever opened its doors, there were two teenagers chasing the same magic. One was raised in the fast rhythm of New York, the other in the quiet familiarity of Georgia. Though miles apart, both were drawn to hospitality. To the energy of a room filled with laughter, great food, and stories shared over drinks. That passion eventually shaped a dream. And years later, it brought them together, behind the bar, where their story began.
Where It All Began
At fifteen, Sumair found his spark in the restaurant world. He moved to Georgia and spent over a decade managing bars in Peachtree City, drawn not just to the pace, but to the way a single dish or cocktail could turn into a lasting memory. Influenced by New York and cultures around the globe, he realized that restaurants are more than places to eat. They tell stories. And now, he has one of his own.
Tana also found her way early, guided by warmth, intuition, and a deep love for detail. She worked throughout Newnan and Peachtree City, quickly becoming known not just as a manager or bartender, but as someone who made guests feel like family. Every shift, every plate, every conversation was part of something bigger than she imagined.
A Shared Dream
When their paths finally crossed, it wasn’t just timing. It was meant to be. Shared shifts became a shared life. Together, they dreamed of creating something magical. A place where every dish has a story, and every guest experiences something just a little extraordinary.
They’ve traveled the world, exploring how food and drink connect people. But it was here in Peachtree City where they built a home, a family, and eventually, their dream. Their children, Aria and Zayn, are often found at The Alchemist, greeting regulars and enjoying their favorite dishes.
